StoryBoard 12 – Jesus

Of the millions of books in print, and the millions yet to be published, I want to encourage you to devote priority time and energy to the first four books of the New Testament – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These books tell us about how God finally fulfilled His promise to make it possible for people like us to walk with Him, now and forever. These books tell us about Jesus – His life and death and resurrection.

What Jesus said and did can transform our souls. The words in these four accounts of Jesus’ life not only show us the way to come into a loving relationship with God, but they can also liberate us from worry, self-centeredness, immorality, pride and arrogance, purposelessness in life, legalistic attitudes and perspectives, joyless living, empty religion, idolatry, selfishness, hatred, bitterness, pain, and fear. There is no end to the good that can come from reading what Jesus said and did.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. He is our Savior. The one who makes it possible for us to have a permanent loving relationship with God – a relationship that is based on God’s work and not ours. And He gives that life to all who believe and receive this gift.

 John 6:67-68
“You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
