One small thing that “wasn’t a big deal” – marrying a foreign woman – led to another little compromise and another and another. And eventually he ended up far from God and miserable.
In his old age Solomon realized how foolish he had been and he came back to God. His story tells us how important it is to stay true to God and His ways without any wavering – to choose every day and every moment to not compromise.
